In the middle of....

Thu Oct 16, 2008, 1:46 AM
So basically, we were hanging on a thread and the God of Death is following us every single second, ready to chop us with his scythe when we failed to finish our works.

And what was I thinking in the middle of it all? I think Adobe really knew their user very well, they create their logo that can describe our situations accurately.

You see, there's this saying of Blood, Sweat, and Tears ( I knew you guys would already know that saying), and if you added it with gloomy, everything fit perfectly. Don't understand? Let me explain to you.

Blood is Flash. Why? Because Flash logo (CS3, of course, n I'm saying the square one, with FL written on it, not the other logo. This goes to all other programs I will mention below.) is colored with red. And what is the color of blood? Red! Yes, very good.

Sweat is Illustrator. Because you only sweat when it was hot. And Hot days always have the orange yellow sun steaming us to death. And as you guess, Illustrator (I prefer to call it AI), have yellow logo.

Tears, because it is water, colored blue. That goes to PS (photoshop, if you dunno).

So Blood, sweat, and tears, refers to Flash, AI, and PS, which is what we use to finish our assignments and works.

If you still remember, I also mention gloomy above. We were gloomy when time, not satisfied with flying, decide to use jet with mach 3 power engine to chase after us. Great. And Adobe, who loves the customer very well, made After Effect software, and decide to use ashen gray for the logo.

Wow, that kinda complete the whole thing, isn't it? hahahha.
Anyway, we were rushing for final, and I think I better get my lazy arse back to work. cya.

IFS Autograph session

Sun May 25, 2008, 6:56 AM
We (me, my bf, and my friend), went to Kinokuniya KLCC today. It was kinda crazy, seeing we were in the battle against assignments and we still manage to go out the whole day. But it was a chance of a lifetime! I mean, it's not everyday that IFS is coming to Malaysia, especially when they have no branch here. And so we went.

We were early, since we read about how the Jakarta autograph will be a limited seat, so we went early in the morning, and reach there at 11. Crazy, yes, considering the actual event would be on 3 p.m. But it doesn't hurt to be early. We got to browsing more books than we usually did, since we have time to kill. Usually it would be grab and go. Hahaha....

To cut long story short, we met with the artist, down a bit since there's no artgerm, Kai, or kunka there, but they are a very nice person, so I think it pays. There's so many people so we didn't really got the chance to properly talk to them, so we head out, and waiting outside for our other friends. Turns out that they are at Kinokuniya, so we head back there, going to the second floor, where all the art, graphic, along with photography textbook is. Then we spotted them (IFS crew) is on the lounge, doing some interviews (probably XD). Accidentally, when we decide that it was time to go home, they also start to head for the stairs. We turn up having a chat with them. It was a very very nice experience. Thank you IFS crews!

behind the desk

Sun May 18, 2008, 8:40 AM
i'm sitting behind my desk, facing my comp, doing magazine.
I wish I am at the bookstore searching for inspiration.
or at least I'm drawing, not marker, no. I want pencil, and lots of ice cream.

I was bitten by a little red ants, on my way to dinner.
It's itching, and sometimes it burning a bit.

And my back is hurting, from sitting to much.
I wish I can go to massage parlor.

Anyway, I'm just ranting. Nothing important, nothing fancy, just ranting.

I'm back and kicking and biting XD

Thu Apr 10, 2008, 7:38 AM
Some of my friends ask me, "Jane, y didn't you go upload DA anymore...?"

I'm so sorry. It's not that I didn't want to. It's that I don't have time. Yes, the same lame phrase one use when one is becoming a lazy bum. Hahaha...

Okie. So now here I am, a bit feverish and vomit but alive, and still kicking and biting at anyone who's stoopid enough to say that I have to redo the stitches of my shopping bag... (??) I'll tell u soon about that.

So I have to make TWO batik products, TWO packaging, and ONE Shopping bag for my design studies class. Do I look like a product designer to you? .... Anyway, I decided on making *stoopidly* TWO shoes, a plank wood box and cloth bag, and HAND SEWN shopping bag. How stupid can I be? I mean, I sew the 1st shoes my self, and getting into trouble by didn't do the finishing NICELY *I NEVER Sew in my entire life*, redo the stitches, and get a lil smarter by decided to paint the second pair XD
hahahaha....

The Plank wood is horrible to work with, they gave me a BEND plank wood, which in the end, force me to use sand paper on it.

In the end, for this whole project to end, I take 7 weeks. T_T Apparently, this lovely teacher of mine thought that his subject is the only subject we have to deal with.

We still have Photography class, Computer Graphics, Sociology and Design, and Illustration class that also have their own assignment, which thanks to design class, left behind, forcing the lecturers to postpone the due date of their assignments.... Thank you!!!! This really save my life!!!

This sem we really use tons of money, I spend more than 2-300 ringgit for the design FIRST assignment *we still have 2 more assignments*, than more than 200 for Illustration *damn that marker, so exp!!! It's not even copix T_T* I'm sure I still have to buy more. Also, I'm afraid that the photography also will take money, not some, but around 50 bucks is possible.

We're learning studio photo now. IT's quite fun to do although it's super complicated, with the light meter, and ratio, and reflection, but it's fun. And the lecturer is terrific! Ms. Lih Su is definitely very very very very good at what she's doing. Hahaha... Shame that she'll leave us after this sem though... One more great lecturer gone from LUCT... T_T

I'll try to update this as frequent as I can, but no promise in that. Will be shooting homeless in one of these days, as well as food and beverages, so, stay tune! XD
